Wellington Film Society is open to everyone. As we have non-commercial screening rights we operate on a subscription basis that requires us to screen to members only.
Annual subscription prices:
$220 Double A discounted rate for any two people at the same address
$110 Discounted Available to full-time students over 16; Members of WIFT; senior citizens and registered beneficiaries (with ID).
$50 Youth Available if you are aged 16 or under. A few films may be classified R16 or greater. Youth members gain entry to all other films as well as enjoying the member benefits at the International Film Festival.
$40 Three-Film Sampler This gives access to any three films in the twelve months from the month of joining. It is valid only for the person named on the card and is not transferable. It does not qualify for discounts at the Film Festival or other concessions. Cards can be upgraded to full membership on payment of price difference. By paying the difference you can upgrade to a full year membership. The expiry date of the full membership will be that of the original Three-Film Sampler. Lost cards will not be replaced.
Terms & Conditions of Membership
Membership runs for twelve months from the month of joining. All prices quoted on the website and on application forms are in NZ dollars. There is no refund for a cancelled membership. All memberships are non-transferable.
Membership cards can be collected at the next screening after purchase or renewal. When you join or renew online, you will receive a return email acknowledgement.
Online payments are made using external sites that encrypt all personal and financial data using SSL technology. Credit card details are not stored or seen by anyone from the Film Society as they go directly to the payment gateway and the bank.

You are welcome to access and correct such information by writing to the Society or enquiring at our screenings. If you do not wish to receive advice on other ﬁlm related events which the committee may decide to share with our members from time to time, please let us know.
